Turning waste and mine residues into high-purity manganese while eliminating wastewater problems is the goal of Euro Manganese. It is being realized in the Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic. Following the success of the pilot plant, a demonstration plant is being built here. It will be the only plant in Europe capable of producing high-purity, battery-grade manganese.

If Europe does not want to become completely dependent on China in the race for the metals of the future, it must build up its own production. EMN can close this strategic gap with its recycling plant over 25 years. Because the valuable manganese is in a tailings pile, there is no need for mining and old environmental burdens can be eliminated.
